I have a video uploaded to Streams. How do I, as the presenter, broadcast it to the other team members during a video call? I tried adding the video to the Team channel, but I still couldn’t find a way to start sharing the video.

Obviously I don’t want to have to play the video on my PC and then share that. I want to broadcast direct from Streams for best perform. View best response. Sharing a video is just asking for poor quality and overloading my local internet connection, No wonder everyone is ditching Teams for Zoom. Hmm, then the only way that is possible if you want the users to interact with the video and you have zero interaction with it, is to go into Stream prior to the meeting, ensure the users have the permissions over the video, and when it comes in the meeting for viewers to watch the video provide the video share link then they access and watch it.

The issue with this is that its asynchronous viewing meaning that some attendees will watch quicker than others and some may have issues accessing the video: it’s not fluid Zoom will absolutely be overtaken by Teams in the next 6 – 12 months. The plan from Microsoft is that Teams will have the same number of users as the Windows Operation System which is over a billion.

In reply to. Tech’s post on December 8, Could you please reset the MS Team app and see how it goes. Please visit the following article and refer to the section, under the “Windows: Clear Teams Cache” section. However, if the problem still persists then I’d like this issue to be investigated furthermore by MS Support to determine the best next steps for you.

As business account users, you are entitled to the more advanced support you deserve, please take advantage of the opportunity. With that said, there are 2 alternatives to reach out to MS Support: Alternative 1. Alternative 2: Via MS admin center. You can choose whether you want to receive support via email or phone support.

However, if you don’t have MS license then you need to reach out to your admin and ask the admin to open a new support ticket.

This is optional, If necessary you can request your admin to put your number as the preferred contact method so MS Support can call your number. Teams meeting recordings will be stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, depending on the type of meeting. Note that a recording will expire and be automatically deleted after a set period of time. The amount of time it’s available is set by your admin, but you can change or remove the expiration date of any given recording.

If your org is still using Microsoft Stream not OneDrive and SharePoint to store recordings and you are a meeting owner, you can change permissions and allow people without access to view a meeting recording. Go here for further details. For channel meetings, the recording will be stored in a Recordings folder in the Files tab for the channel.

The Files tab stores all files in a SharePoint site and document library for the channel. Everyone who is a part of the channel will have permission to edit and view the recording.

For non-channel meetings, the recording will be stored in the Recordings folder in the OneDrive directory of the person who started the recording. Note: Only the organizer of the meeting and the person who started the recording will be able to edit the recording. But everyone invited to the meeting will be able to view the recording. If you recorded or organized the meeting, you can share the recording with people who weren’t invited to the meeting—by just sharing it like you would share any other file.

Just find the file in OneDrive or SharePoint and share it directly with people or copy a link and share it however you like. If you weren’t the person who recorded or organized the meeting, you can still share the recording with people weren’t invited to the meeting. Download Microsoft Edge More info. Most organisations currently store Teams Meeting recording in OneDrive and SharePoint, and these, along with any other videos stored in OneDrive or SharePoint will automatically be played by the Stream web app. Sign in. Super Simple This can be on Notepad, in Excel, or something else Add the Title of the Chapter and then select the tick icon Rinse and Repeat Steps 11 and 12 until all the chapters are complete Down the bottom of the video vertical lines on the timeline designate the chapters and hovering over the lines shows the title of the chapter The video will play at the time when you click on any one of the chapters You can freely edit any of the chapter titles by hovering over the chapter, selecting Edit Pencil and amending the title Selecting More Options … the chapters can be copied and pasted or all can be deleted Our job here is done.
